Are you listening? WoOOooooOOoo

Just got back from an incredible Jimmy Eat World show at the Fillmore. I've been a huge fan of them since middle school but this was my first time ever seeing them live. SO FUCKING GOOD. For lack of better words, they blew me away. They played their entire 'Bleed American' album its in entirety and then as an encore they played a bunch from 'Futures' and they ended the night with 'Pain'. Naturally I was expecting an amazing show and really it met and exceeded all of my expectations. Jim Adkins is looking so damn good. Lost a ton of weight and his voice sounds just like it always has, if not better. Nothing makes me happier than seeing rock n roll so alive. In the midst of all the shitty "modern" music, its nice to stick with the classics.

Living in San Francisco has given me so many opportunities to see so many of the bands i've always wanted to see live. Living in Portland, you didn't really see very many bands come around...at least not that I was ever aware of. Mostly just bands from the NW; The Shines, Decemberists, Death Cab etc etc. Now that I am in a big city, it has been so amazing to be able to see so many of the bands I've always wanted to see. October is a huge months for shows which I am excited about. I am looking forward to seeing Blink 182 for the second time, MCR for the second time, Incubus for the first, Young the Giant, Pepper, Expendables, Cage the Elephant and Foo Fighters for the very first time!! AHH!! I still can't wrap my head around the fact that I am seeing Foo Fighters TWICE in one month, and I probably wont believe it after it happens either. Hands down one of the my favorite bands of all time! Luckily I have an incredible boyfriend to keep me company as well. :)

Although it may seem like I am doing so much, I definitely believe in quantity over quality...in possessions, friendships and experiences. I don't feel the need to do everything all at once just for the sake of saying that I am or have done all of it, but I simply take the experiences my life allows me to take and I make sure to make the best of all situations. I am very thankful to be able to do and experience the things I have experienced and I think it makes me appreciate it more knowing that these kinds of things aren't always at my disposal.
